Emotional strength is having perseverance when you want to give up. How you show up during adversity is the true test in life.
In yoga we talk about ‘finding comfort in the discomfort’. This is a skill that you build with practice but it means pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, breathing through the difficulty and learning your edge.
This is a metaphor for life, when you are thrown a curve ball, how do you react? None of us is perfect but being willing to self reflect, learn from your mistakes and build your ‘grit’ muscle will help you in all areas of life.
Sometimes the only way through is through. And then you can look back at all the obstacles you overcame as proof that you can make it past this next hurdle!
